A New Chapter: River Forest UMC & Urban Village Church Merge

For years, River Forest UMC and Urban Village Church have worshiped, served, and grown side by side—sharing meals, ministries, and a vision for a church that welcomes people as they are. What began as a partnership has become a true spiritual home for many, shaped by justice, compassion, and a deep sense of belonging.

This spring, both congregations voted to merge, affirming what we’ve already been living: we are stronger together. This milestone marks a new chapter built on shared values, shared leadership, and shared hope for what God is doing in the west suburbs.
