Justice
& Service

Justice & service are at the heart of the communities we are trying to build at Urban Village. We connect in order to follow Jesus in creating with God more health, joy, and liberation for us all.

Mutual Aid Fund

UVC’s mutual aid fund was created to support members of our community who are in need of financial assistance. You may apply for up to $400 in first-time grants. Individuals who have received a grant in the past can also reapply.

Serve Your Neighbors

Urban Village has partners and relationships throughout the city and local neighborhoods to serve the hungry and homeless, march for pride and justice, and create more life and connection. Our partners include the Night Ministry, Chicago Bridge Project, and South Loop Community Table. Get in touch with your Site Pastor to hear more!

Serve Urban Village Church

There are many ways to serve to make church happen. You can serve Communion, bring snacks, read Scripture, or share your testimony any Sunday, or begin to use your gifts by helping to support other volunteers or leading all-site teams or projects.

Justice: Faith In Action Teams

God calls us to love our neighbors by changing conditions in our world so that we might have justice together. We work with organizing partner Community Renewal Society and other local partners to take direct action to change policy and circumstances in our city and state.
